this is my first try in editing a full video by myself, and i am pleased with the way this turned out. The editing matched with the pace of the video, there weren't many sharp quick cuts which would have ruined the song. i included transitions which are evident near the end of the video, the transitions allowed the cuts to not jump but to be implemented in well so that the scenes smoothly conjoin. I added effects such as slow motion, bright lighting for transitions, enhanced volume at certain parts of video and added lens flares. the dance moves were collected together from different locations, and added together in different cuts. i included an earthquake effect to make the camera shake so that it matched when he jumped on the ground. The camera field of view was altered as i made the camera switch and change position to do a 45 degree turn which matched the girls dance move and hand gesture.
Even Better If:
- add more cuts as i included long takes rather than making them shorter which most music videos implement
- added more transitions and more filters which could have made the video more effective
- close ups on dance moves e.g. hand movements which would improve how the film looks as it would show their dance moves which is the central point of video
- had taken more time into editing as we had a short time to edit 2hours, so plan my tim emore wisely.
- researched conentions of a music vedio before creating this which would have aided me in creating and refering back to this when adding in cuts, transitions and effects
